Hello, all,
I'm working with a group of faculty and students at the Yale Medical School to look into the way in which the med school responds to sexual harassment/assault complaints between students and between students and residents or attending physicians.
Specifically I'm looking for models (personnel, policies, resolutions avenues including adjudication) at med schools that address some of the dynamics specific to this happening in a medical community. For instance there seems to be alot of sexual harassment during anatomy classes that some med school administrators and faculty characterize as a lack of professionalism or maturity on male students'/residents'/attendings' parts.
Can anyone direct me to any institutions -- med schools -- that have good models?
Does anyone know of any resources about the particularities of sexual harassmentassault in a med school environment?
Also, has anyone heard/been part of discussions about the applicability of the Clery Act to med schools?
Claire Kaplan suggested this might be a good topic for the list, so please respond publicly if you feel you can.
THANKS!!
