"Rape only hurts if you fight it" article was published in the Connecticut
Central State University newspaper on February 7.

A campus in Oregon has had a similar issue arise, where the Sigma Chi
fraternity posted a page on Facebook titled "Juuuuuust givin it to her" and
encouraged individuals to engage in these "wonderful maneuvers" all of which
"need to be done by the end of the year." Below is a sample (not for the
delicate of heart) - all spelling/grammar is as on the site:
-"The Sprewell: Choke a bitch"
-"The Kobe: My personal favorite, a l'il inappropriate"
-"The OJ: Very violence, but still inspiring"
-"The R. Kelley: A l'il urine never hurt"
-"The Jack-o-lantern: Make a scary face while you're givin it to her then
smash a pumkin on her face"
-"The Tyson: Bitin and givin it to her...nothing better"
-"The Kermit Washington: Just repeated donkey punching" (you should google
what 'donkey punching' is...)
The webpage explicitly refers to women as "objects".
The page was then played off as a "funny" joke when a female student
complained.
I think these are serious issues that our community needs to respond to and
hold these individuals accountable for and not write off as those who stand
up against them that they as individuals "can't take a joke".
If any of these were incidents that referred to race or religion, it would
not be tolerated! And neither should sexual violence.
