Dartmouth College, an Ivy League institution, is a private, residential,

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
COLLIS CENTER & STUDENT ACTIVITES
The Collis Center and Student Activities Office supports the academic mission
of the College by providing a broad array of programs, services, and
activities that enhance the overall educational climate of the campus. As a
member of the department's core management staff, the Associate Director has
broad programming and facilities responsibilities that support the
department's mission including: supervising staff and student employees,
overseeing facility operations, managing budgets, advising student groups and
programs, and coordinating and facilitating student leadership training.
Key responsibilities:
Staff Supervision - Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates an assistant
director, scheduling coordinator, and the Collis Center student building
managers.
Operations Management - Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Collis
Center and other campus center facilities.
Student Development - Advises the First Year Class Council including First
Year Parents' Weekend and class council Homecoming and bonfire activities.
Collaborative Projects - Assists in coordination and facilitation of student
leadership development, student employee training, and major College annual
events.
Administrative Responsibilities - Prepares and administers operating budgets;
interprets and enforces policies and procedures.
Top candidates will have a demonstrated track record of developing strong
relationships with students and staff, supporting teamwork, setting high
standards, managing multiple projects, addressing challenges collaboratively
and creatively, setting and achieving goals, and a proven commitment to
diversity and the ideals of a liberal arts education.
Qualifications for employment include a minimum of four years full-time work
experience and a Master's degree or the equivalent combination of education
and experience. Previous supervisory, operations management, budget, and
strategic planning experience are strongly recommended. Demonstrated skills
in promoting pluralism and intercultural understanding are highly desirable.
