VAWnet has significantly enhanced the content, structure, and utility of
the Research materials on the website. Previously organized under
Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence, these areas have been combined
into one main area that is easily accessible through the homepage. The
content has been
enhanced and reorganized to reflect an intuitive structure for ease of
navigation. Access the new area at:

The new Research area contains fully cross-referenced online resources
relevant to research on domestic and sexual violence including Applied
Research Documents, data sets, research and evaluation tools, fact
sheets, research reports, and other publications that provide an
analysis, critique and/or
review of current related issues.

Features Include: 

- Applied Research Documents: Access documents organized by
research-specific categories within domestic and sexual violence,
download a full up-to-date list of available documents, and find
information about the structure, development, and review process for
Applied Research. All documents are
available in both HTML and PDF format.

- Research Reports, Fact Sheets, & Bibliographies: Contains a selection
of research materials including fact sheets, bibliographies, research
reports, summaries, and analysis on topics related to domestic and
sexual violence. Materials are organized by topic within both domestic
and sexual violence.

- Research & Evaluation Tools: Includes recommended definitions and data
elements for researching violence against women, program evaluation
tools and strategies, and considerations around the credibility, value
and limitations of research and data collection methods.

- Data Sets: Features publicly-accessible online data sets on violence
against women, and provides information about utilizing and/or analyzing
data to enhance the work of advocates and others working to end domestic
and sexual violence.
