Alan McEvoy wrote a book called "If She is Raped" that was specifically
designed to be a guidebook for parents, partners and friends of sexual
assault survivors. In its abridged version, it has been widely used as a
handout by rape crisis centers, and universities, as has the companion book
"If He is Raped." When Learning Publications retired their business, several
of us in the field got together and created Teal Ribbon Publications
specifically to keep useful sexual assault response resources in print. While
we've been setting up and developing our inventory, we did a printrun of "If
She is Raped" which anyone can order (at $14.95 a 5-pak) by emailing us at:
or visiting us at
www.tealribbonpublications.com
We are busy editing, updating and developing several other titles. Because
we are a very new and small press, our first sets of publications will all be
5-paks of 32-page handout/guidebooks. Please let us know if there are
specific titles or topics you would like to see us pursue. You are all
welcome to write to me at:

Subject: Recommendations for parents
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for books that would
provide education for parents about how to support a survivor (that is
espeically focused on helping parents who might tend to be blaming). I
am hoping to expand my collection of recent resources.
Thanks so much,
Linda Anderson
