Colleagues,

Security On Campus, Inc. has been invited to participate in the
Congressional Victim's Rights Caucus Advisory Group at their first meeting
next week in Washington, DC. The purpose of this panel is to advise this new
and small but growing bi-partisan group of members of the U.S. House of
Representatives on key issues affecting the crime victim assistance field,
and crime victims and survivors.

As the members of this list are front line practitioners your input will be
invaluable for us to take to Washington, DC and we'd greatly appreciate any
suggestions you may have for changes to or new federal policies. For
example, the caucus has already taken up supporting Crime Victim Fund and
VAWA grants but is there a way these programs could work better for the
college and university environment?

Any major issues we'll need to hear about by early afternoon Monday so we'll
have time to ask that they be added to the agenda for Wednesday's meeting.
We look forward to hearing from you. And also please feel free to pass this
request along to your colleagues and other lists that you participate in
(this is the only list I'm planning to post this request to so there
shouldn't be any cross-postings).
