Hi all,
We have brought Men Can Stop Rape to campus in the past, and they have always presented great information to the students of Florida Atlantic University. Our campus is basically a commuter campus so keeping an audience of more then 25 or 30 students at 7:00 in the evening is a miracle, and MCSR packs the room to capacity (250+).
We recently brought down the Troubling Violence Performance Project out of University of Missouri-Columbia and they were AWFUL. With time they could be good, but they only presented info to our students about Missouri, they did no research to make the presentation conducive to our audience. If you are looking for a good storytelling troupe on Domestic Violence, check out FACES, from NY. They are extremely professional and present material that is well researched to your specific college campus and the surrounding area.
I hope this helps and I'd be interested to see what you all recommend as far as speakers go, and on a limited budget.
In Solidarity,
Stephanie Kunkel
