The Clery Act obligates schools to inform students about their options to
notify law enforcement once a sexual assault has occurred, and if they
request to assist them in actually notifying law enforcement. All campus
security authorities, including residence life and coaches for example,
should be aware of this obligation and know how to proceede when they get a
report.
