True it could go badly, especially in a "live" situation - which should be
avoided by all but the well-coached.  But more and more we see the media on
our side, sympathizing with the victim.  "So tell me Susie what did you do
to get yourself in that
situation..."  This type of victim blaming can easily be part of any media
treatment b/c it is a common misconception in society at large.  Any
survivor (and I would never ask someone who hasn't reached that status to be
on camera) should be coached to know how to effectively address just such
questions.

I never saw that Oprah show, but I heard about it.  Funny that Oprah, a rape
victim herself, would not intervene on behalf of victims......
