Hello all. Along these lines, I teach a class on gender violence and
would love to measure change in attitude over the course of the quarter.
I've tried to find a good instrument for measuring attitudes towards
sexual assault (and/or other gender violence) but have been
unsuccessful. Does anyone know of a good instrument and where to find
it?
Thanks so much.

Hi Rachel,
we use a tool to measure changes in learning over the course of a year for our new students which was developed by researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health. They chose to use the 'revised rape myth acceptance scale' (newman), and the "rape likelihood' scale (Malamuth). These are tools that are commonly to measure rape supportvie attitudes and self-reported likelihood of different behaviors, and are (as far as I know) relatively valid/reliable.
