I would be interested in hearing any recommendations regarding videos
that might be useful in making sexual assault presentations within the
residence halls. The University Housing Office is interested in
developing a program which could be presented by Resident Assistants on
their respective housing floors. While this may not be the best option,
it may be beneficial in starting to create some awareness of the issue
and providing some basic risk reduction strategies. It will likely be
easiest to implement if structured around a video presentation - any
suggestions?

I've been reading about "trains": incidents, often in gang or
fraternity
settings, where a female will consent to have sex with one partner
(or
sometimes successive partners), but is then raped by other male
associates
of the group (often with the aid of drugs or alcohol).

I'm wondering 1) how common this kind of situation is; and 2) of the
females
who initially consent to have sex with multiple successive partners,
how
many are likely to be acting out an unresolved prior trauma (prior rape
or
molestation)?

If anyone on list can point me to information about this, I'd be
much
obliged.
