For those of you revising sexual assault services or protocols, there is an
amazing document online that will soon (we hope) become a blueprint for how
all California university and college campuses deal with sexual assault
victims, police investigations, judicial affairs procedures, etc. The
organization that did much of the research about what campuses were already
doing was CALCASA (the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault), and the
group was part of the Statewide Task Force that came up with the blueprint.

What you'll see online now are the recommendations to the State Legislature.
The legislators will review and revise this document, with the final draft
coming out May 1. Eventually, all colleges in CA will deal with victims and
accused in basically similar ways. At SSU, we're reviewing our protocols
based on the current summary draft.
