Hi Everyone,
Since management of this list has changed, with the new system here at UVA, I feel it's necessary to let you know that I don't see messages before they are posted, although only members may post to the list.
Therefore, all the "cleaning up" I used to do won't be happening. When you reply to a request from a list member, PLEASE do not include the entire digest in your reply. It just makes things messy. If you hit the "reply" button, be sure to delete all the extraneous stuff before sending.
I still haven't figured out how to keep all those "I'm out of the Office" messages from going to everyone. But this might be a good opportunity to remind you all that you can go to the SAPC List Info Website and put yourself on "vacation" which might help.
Thanks, and happy summer to all,
Claire Kaplan

Although I do not teach a course, I have found the following to be very
useful with students: The Other Side of Silence, ed. Christine Carter ;
After the Silence by Nancy Raine.; Trauma and Recovery by Judith
