I have a quick question for the SAPC list:
Has anyone heard anything about or worked with SAFER (Students Active for
Ending Rape)?
You can check out their website at www.safercampus.org
What are people's impressions?
I'm just looking for any outside information that people might have on the
group.
Thanks!

In response to the question about textbooks for a class on sexual and
domestic violence:
I'm a big fan of Susan Brownmiller's "Against Our Will," Dobash and
Dobash's "Violence Against Wives: A Case Against the Patriarchy,"
Carole Sheffield's "Sexual Terrorism," Mary Daly's "Gyn/Ecology," Andrea
Dworkin's "Woman Hating," and Alyce LaViolette's "It Could Happen to
Anyone." Also, Lori Girshick has written a book on woman to woman
sexual violence called "No More Denying." Oh, and bell hooks tackles
violence against women in her book Feminist Theory from Margin to
Center.
Okay, there's my two cents...
