Hello heathens!

Hope your week is going well. Tomorrow we will be hosting our first speaker in New Cabell 132 at 7pm. Andy Thomson is a psychiatrist at UVA CAPS and the author of Why We Believe in God(s): A Concise Guide to the Science of Faith. 

Here is a snapshot of the talk:

"Love's Labors Lost: a Darwinian view of depression."

This is relevant to VAA because religion in this country, and elsewhere, has been a major obstacle to teaching evolution. The study of evolution is crucial to understanding health and illness and even depression.
