Hi all,

We are meeting this Thursday 7pm at New Cabell 315. Rolph will be leading a discussion and has provided the following short blurb about the meeting:

It will be a discussion on the themes of Brave New World, especially concerning our relationship to technology and the tension between the pursuit of material comfort and "higher" human pursuits such as art and spirituality.

Also, VAA is going camping at Corbin Cabin the weekend of November 21st. This is a primitive cabin about 1.5 hours from UVA and about a 1.5 mile hike into Shenandoah National Park. Please understand what it means to go camping before you sign up: Camping is cold. There is no electricity. You might have to sleep on a bunk next to someone else.
