Dear Victoria and Bradley
I wanted to follow up with my request to distribute my human rights survey to the Virginia Atheists and Agnostics listserv and facebook group. I am not sure if you have had the chance to send it out yet, which is totally understandable given the busy nature of exam week, but I have not had any respondents from VAA as of yet. Collecting data from VAA is very important because it is the only organization dedicated to atheism and agnosticism (or any kind of secularism really) at UVA, and thus would enhance my data substantially. I am only collecting data until Thursday, so there is a bit of a time crunch!
Here's a link to the survey: http://goo.gl/forms/G5ByIcNLtY
I’m not sure if you have any concerns of the nature of the survey, but I will not be using it to make sweeping generalizations about atheism or agnosticism. I am the only person who will see the responses, which are anonymous, and the results will only be seen by my professor. This paper will not be published and, is just a final paper for my politics class and comprises a significant portion of my grade.
Please respond at your earliest convenience and let me know if you have any lingering concerns. Any concerns that groups have with the nature of my survey is something I will be bringing up in my self-evaluation
Best,
Gemma
