Hello All,

To everyone new to the mailing list, or new to UVA in general: welcome!

To our returning members: welcome back!

We, the Virginia Atheists and Agnostics [VAA], are psyched to have you!

We're opening this week with two events, our informational meeting and our new-member welcome party. At our informational meeting, you'll learn about our activities for the coming semester. You'll also hear a bit about the secular movement throughout the United States, and how our particular community fits into that. We hope to answer some common questions, namely "what's the point of an atheist club?" and "why should I be interested?". Finally, we would like to get some group discussion going, so make sure to bring questions if it suits you!

The meeting will take place at:

New Cabell 323, Thurs 7:00 - 8:00 P.M., 8/28

Keep an eye out from one of our social chairs about the new member party. It's going to be this Saturday night- details and facebook event to follow.

TL;DR : Meet friendly non-believers at our info session this Thursday & party this Saturday
