Hey VAA!

The school year is coming to a close, but here are a few end-of-the-year events to help distract us from impending finals..

1) TOMORROW at 7pm  in Nau 211 is Ask an Atheist Day, which for those who aren't familiar involves inviting anyone interested from the larger UVa community to come ask VAAers and self-identified atheists/agnostics/humanists/freethinkers/etc questions of their choosing! It's important for our visibility on grounds and in past years has generated some great discussion. If you haven't already, make sure to join the facebook event :

and invite your friends! Free mellow mushroom pizza will be provided.

2) This Saturday we'll be hosting an egg hunt and early feast-of-the-flying-spaghetti-monster pot-luck at 1034 Preston Ave starting around 6pm. We're having this get-together in lieu of a final party, so if there are any members you specifically wanted to catch up with (or spend meaningful time with before they are cast off into the graduation abyss) make sure to show up! You'll be getting a reminder email in the next few days with a food sign-up sheet if you are so culinary inclined.

3) The third thing to keep in mind that Next Thursday (April 24th) is going to be our final meeting of the school year. If you have a TEDxVAA talk that you didn't get a chance to give earlier in the semester, or have a short (5-7 minute) presentation on a topic of your choice, you have one last opportunity to present it. Expect IHOP afterwards!
