Hello VAA,

I'm very pleased to make our final announcement about David Niose, the president of the American Humanist Association, who is coming to speak tomorrow evening. He will be discussing his book Nonbeliever Nation: The Rise of Secular Americans, and developing his thesis about how religion is a pillar of American culture which has eluded reform for too long, and what we can, and are doing to change this.

Join the facebook event. Share it, tweet it, shout it from dormitory roof-tops, etc.

The talk will be held at:

The Commonwealth Room of Newcomb Hall, 7:30 P.M., Thursday, 9/20

Additional Messages concerning the event:

1. If you want to help us promote the event, the weather finally will permit us to chalk tonight, and we'd appreciate it if you could lend a hand. Contact me if you're interested.

2. Want to have dinner with David Niose?! Well as a VAAer, you're in luck. More from Frank on this:

Hello Friends,

As you all know, David Niose of the American Humanist Association will be giving a talk tomorrow evening entitled Nonbeliever Nation. Before the talk (meaning around 5:30) some of us will be having dinner with him. If you would like to join us for that, email me () ASAP, as we really need a head count.

Also, one last plug for voting for SSA in the Chase Community Giving program. SSA has helped VAA in numerous ways throughout its history, and will undoubtedly continue to do so in the future, and this is an opportunity for us to help them raise money to continue supporting secular students across the country. So if you haven't voted yet, here is the link: http://apps.facebook.com/chasecommunitygiving/charity/view/ein/41-1967141

Ok, that's all folks! Hope to see you all tomorrow, it's poised to be a really great event to spread the word about the reasonable secularism of which we are so fond.

Thanks,

John Kubinski
VAA President
