What follows are ways for you to communicate with the BOV, the media, legislative representatives, and the Governor. It's important that the voices of University faculty and students are heard around the state. But in doing so, remember that brief messages that maintain a respectful tone are the most effective.

COMMUNICATING WITH THE GOVERNOR OF VIRGINIA:
The Office of Governor McDonnell is maintaining a log of all telephone calls related to the University of Virginia situation.
To leave a voice message for the Governor call 804-786-2211
To send an email to the Governor use the form at the following URL:

COMMUNICATING WITH MEMBERS OF THE VIRGINIA LEGISLATURE:
To contact your representative or others follow the guidelines at this URL:

COMMUNICATING WITH THE BOARD OF VISITORS:
We have been told that Susan Harris, the Secretary for the Board of Visitors, will forward emails to all members of the Board, if you do the following:
Write "Board of Visitors" as the subject line of the email message.
Include the phrase "Board of Visitors" in the first line of the body of the email.

Please send email messages to both:
Susan Harris, secretary for the Board of Visitors, at AND
     K. Ann Witkower, administrative assistant to the Faculty Senate,
