Hello all,

We will be having an informal meeting tomorrow at West Range at 7:00pm. Come by to talk about religious imagery in Anime. Sorry I haven't manage to cobble anything together this week, but it is nearing crunch time in the semester :).

Elections for the 2011 calendar year VAA officers will be held on December 1st at 7:00pm in a TBD room in Cabell. I urge anyone who has any time to give to consider running for an office. As a CIO, we must have at least a President and a Treasurer who are full-time UVa undergraduate students in order to continue operations. However, any of the other positions may be filled by anyone who feels they can contribute to the group, so don't think that just because you aren't a student you can't help out.

The available positions are:
President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Activities Chair
Webmaster

Other positions can be created by request.

The elections will be by secret ballot, and you must be present at the meeting in order to vote. Any member who has been to at least two meetings is eligible to vote, which is mostly a guard against gatecrashers. Attached is a copy of our constitution with more specific explanations of officer duties.

I will still be around next semester in order to 'ease the transition' and help with planning and handing over responsibilities, so if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
