Primary Purpose of Position (Posting #: PG192043EP)
Working to create a safer and more supportive environment for students at NC State University, the Associate Director for Interpersonal Violence Services provides leadership, direction, and coordination for IPV Services offered through the Women’s Center. These efforts involve working directly with students, staff, and faculty, as well as collaboratively with campus and community partners to establish and maintain appropriate and effective IPV services, including prevention education and survivor response. A strong emphasis will be placed on conducting needs assessments, analyzing campus climate surveys, advocating for trauma-informed policies and practices, and performing program evaluations in order to assist in establishing an evidence-based program. Efforts also include providing and overseeing direct advocacy support services for survivors of IPV-related incidents. A successful candidate demonstrates an ability to apply an intersectional, social equity framework to support the center’s strategic goals.
Interpersonal Violence Response Coordinator (FT temp position, 10 months)
Anticipated Hourly Range: $24-26/hour

The Interpersonal Violence Response Coordinator (IPVRC) position primarily serves to provide survivor-centered and trauma-informed care and support services, advocacy, and referrals for student survivors of interpersonal violence (IPV). In alignment with the mission and vision, this work requires a commitment and understanding of intersectionality and social justice, with particular attention paid to addressing the needs of, conducting outreach to, and working with, marginalized and underrepresented students, including students of color, LGBTQIA+ students, and students with disabilities. Therefore, the IPVRC must have a demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed care, providing support and advocacy on a college campus, and responding to crisis and trauma. This position reports to the Associate Director for Interpersonal Violence (ADIPV) and is an integral part of the team. This is a 40hour/week, hourly temporary position. Work schedule for this position would include 40 hours worked within standard business hours of Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm with the potential for limited after hours activities.
