Hello SA educators, advocates, providers and colleagues. (Some of us go way, way back on this list since the start in 2003 with a special thanks to Claire Kaplan).

I am writing as a follow up to Pat McGann's important message about the upcoming healthy masculinity trainings and to share some information about some new resources which may be of interest, particularly in consideration of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.  In addition to the great work from Men Can Stop Rape, there are some new efforts at the Department of Defense for a men's awareness campaign. Here's the link which might be helpful if you have ROTC programs or Veteran's programs on campus. https://www.sapr.mil/mens-sapr-campaign

In addition, two other important and timely resources that were recently published are noted below.
  • Coping with Sexual Assault:  A Guide to Healing for Male Survivors, Their Loved Ones, and Allies
  • Coping with Sexual Assault:  A Guide to Healing for LGBTQIA+ Survivors, Their Loved Ones, and Allies
We were fortunate to have engaging men specialists from two state coalitions involved as members of our national advisory team providing input on the booklets as well as some researchers in these areas. A special thank you to Javon Howard (Ohio Association to End Sexual Violence) and Emiliano Diaz de Leon (Especialista en Involucrar a Hombres, Texas Association Against Sexual Assault).

For those interested, there is also a booklet for college students with a section on Title IX info and updates as they occur.

You can request complimentary sample copies for review at https://www.SugatiPublications.com

Sugati Publications is also offering any 10 free booklets or 50 free pamphlets with orders in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Thank you all for allowing me to share these new resources with you and for all that you are doing at your schools and for survivors.

Take care.
