Hi all,
We are mapping out messaging for the year and a colleague shared they heard that sexual violence is more likely to be perpetrated in warmer months.
I have read articles and research that indicate this is true (stating people are more social in warmer months so more likely to be in the presence of someone who may do harm) and false (that rates vary and aren't correlated with season). However, most articles I'm finding are categorized by year and not season. Does anyone have strong evidence suggesting if this is true or a myth?
Thanks!
