Athletics in Prevention: A Two-Part Community Conversation

Athletes, coaches and prevention educators have historically played pivotal roles in advocating for social justice and culture change. Join Men Can Stop Rape, Willamette University, Doane University and Hastings College for Athletics in Prevention: A Two-Part Community Conversation as the next installment of the National Healthy Masculinity Conversation Series.

College coaches and prevention experts will lead off the first conversation, and college student athletes will be featured in the second. These dialogues will explore how gender-based violence prevention, healthy masculinity, and athletics can be connected to teams' efforts to build culture. Conversationalists will unpack how dominant stories of masculinity act as barriers to the constructive collaboration of campus prevention specialists and athletics, as well as how counter stories of healthy masculinity create positive conditions for campus athletics and prevention specialists to partner in the shared mission of creating safer communities.

Join us March 16th and March 23rd by RSVPing at: https://mcsr.org/conversation-10
