Dear Colleagues,

For the last ten years our therapeutic arts workshop Traveling Postcards has worked with survivors and their allies to create over 4000 handmade works of art the size of a postcard, and hand delivered them as messages of solidarity and hope to survivors of sexual violence and intimate partner violence.

I am excited to share with you our brand new interactive, participatory social arts initiative called Speak Your Truth. It involves a photo mosaic, an outreach to hundreds of aid and violence prevention programs and and opportunity for any survivor to send their resilience into the world.

Our new creative, digital platform is a place to respond to two questions: "What would the world be like without gender- based violence" and “ What is your story of solidarity or resilience?” The photo mosaic will become a living piece of art that grows as more people participate and eventually becomes a symbol of empowerment and courage. We will archive and exhibit all the stories and art we receive.

If you are interested, I invite you to partner with us to share the mosaic widely with your community. We feel it is important now, more than ever for survivors to feel connected, seen and heard especially when we cannot gather in person as we once did. Please feel free to reach out to me with questions and comments. I look forward to hearing from you. Partner.
