The Shelter for Help in Emergency is seeking an Associate Director, a new position expected to partner closely with the Executive Director to chart the Shelter’s strategic response to ever-increasing demand for agency services.

 

The Associate Director will play a critical role in managing the Shelter’s staff and programs, while advancing strategic goals and priorities.  Working alongside the current Executive Director of over 30 years, the Associate Director will have an opportunity to learn and develop within the organization.  Duties include collaborating and assisting in Personnel Management, Program Development and Management, Public and Community Engagement, Strategic Planning, Fundraising and Fiscal Development.

 

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and preferably an advanced degree in Social Work, Public Health or Business, and 3-5 years of management experience, preferably in nonprofit.  Requirements also include strong people management/HR, organizational and communication skills, as well as project management and computer skills.
