Greetings SAPC!

I'm a former victim advocate and current doctoral candidate conducting research for a study on "Victim Advocate Perspectives on Restorative Justice and Sexual Harm." The purpose of this study is to explore the perspectives of victim advocates working on college campuses about the current campus sexual assault response, as well as their insights about the inclusion of restorative justice processes for addressing campus sexual misconduct. Your participation will contribute to growing bodies of academic literature on campus sexual assault response and considerations for universities implementing restorative justice models of addressing violations of the student code.

If you qualify, based on the criteria below, I'd love to interview you if you're willing. Interviews will be 60-90 minutes long and conducted via Zoom. A Call for Participants with more information is attached.

To qualify for this study, the following statements must apply to you:

  • Participant identifies as a victim advocate or someone who has performed advocacy services, formally or informally, for a victim of sexual misconduct or harm who was college-enrolled at the time they were harmed (includes victim advocate university staff, contracted nonprofit staff, or volunteer advocates)

  • Participant identifies as someone who has knowledge of or has direct experience with restorative justice

To learn more or participate, contact

Thank you in advance to anyone willing to share their perspectives with me!

Warmly,
Rachel
