Colleagues,
I am writing to share a great opportunity. The University of San Diego is hiring an Associate Director of Prevention and Education. Detailed information and application can be found at http://www.sandiego.edu/jobs/. The university seeks an individual with a strong interest in working at a mission driven, faith-based institution. The responsibilities of the position are significantly tethered in the university's contemporary Roman Catholic mission.
The Associate Director of Prevention and Education will serve as a primary leader in educating and training our community about healthy relationships, including direct oversight of CARE (Campus Assault Resources and Education) initiatives. The Associate Director of Prevention and Education will take a leadership role in the ongoing enhancements and practices related to the University’s comprehensive sexual violence prevention and education initiatives which are tied to compliance with the Title IX Amendment, the Clery Act, and related laws and regulations. This position will coordinate, develop and facilitate institution-wide education related to trauma informed care and pedagogy and Title IX. Additionally, this position will facilitate and support education related to various other wellness initiatives such as problematic drinking and other drug use, gender role socialization, healthy masculinities, life skills, mental health and healthy coping. In an effort to support the wellness of the overall student community, the University of San Diego recognizes that such concerns need to be viewed within the context of holistic development, the larger community, and part of a comprehensive prevention program that is sensitive to health disparities, the causes of health disparities and the impact on the USD community and various minoritized communities.
Paz,
Erin
