We are excited to announce a new SPECTRUM Closing Keynote, Cecelia Gentili. Cecelia joins dozens of great speakers from across the country, including Charlie Craig and David Mullins (Masterpiece Cake Shop Supreme Court case) delivering their first national keynote, nine of the leading higher education lawyers on the past and future of Title IX, and many more. We are excited that hundreds of you are set to join us in Albany for the second SPECTRUM and want to note that the early registration rate of $165 ends May 31 (regular registration of $195 begins June 1).

The nation’s largest education conference devoted to preventing and responding to sexual and interpersonal violence against members of the LGBTQI+ community.   

 

The second annual SPECTRUM conference will take place in Albany, NY July 9-10 with pre-conference sessions July 8.

SPECTRUM is the nation’s largest education conference devoted to preventing and responding to sexual and interpersonal violence against members of the LGBTQI+ community.   It provides cutting-edge training to enhance the knowledge and skills of attendees through training to faculty, staff, law enforcement, medical professionals, and community and state agency service providers to turn the dial on sexual and interpersonal violence against sexual and gender minorities, while providing the most trauma-informed, and culturally-competent response and care when incidents do occur.

CONFERENCE KEYNOTES 

Cecilia Genitli plays Ms. Orlando in the Season One of Pose.  Originally from Argentina, Cecilia found her passion for advocacy and community service when she started working as an intern at the LGBT Community Center in New York City several years ago. From 2012 to 2016, she managed the Transgender Health Program at the Apicha Community Health Center.

She recently left her position as Managing Director of Policy and Public Affairs at GMHC—the world’s first and leading provider of HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and advocacy—to start her own consulting company, Transgender Equality Consulting.

 

In their first ever national Keynote, Charlie Craig and Dave Mullins, who unsuccessfully sought to purchase a cake from Masterpiece Cake Shop for their Colorado wedding, a case that reached the Supreme Court last year, will join us on the second day for Never About Cake, Always About Equality: Charlie Craig and Dave Mullins journey from a Colorado Bakery to the Supreme Court.

Nine on IX: Nine of the nation’s leading higher education legal experts engage in a deep dive, rolling discussion of the past and future of Title IX, what to expect in the next two years, and the impact of the changing judicial and regulatory environment on Title IX’s application to LGBTQI+ students.
