Hello,

I wanted to know if anyone doing TIX work has been able to count this role towards clinical hours towards a social work licensure; I am considering getting my next level of licensure (the LCSW-Clinical in Maryland).

My title is Deputy TIX Coordinator and I am the person who meets with students filing a complaint. I organize and oversee the investigative process and informal resolutions, but I also connect students with resources and help them get the accommodations they need on campus. I definitely feel I use my social work skills when working with both complainant and respondent.

I plan to call the Maryland Board of Social Work but I wanted to get an idea from this group since the board may not be totally familiar with this work. I am afraid because I am not doing formal counseling and diagnosing that I won't be eligible.

Thank you,

Rina
