Dear WRAC-L and SAPC Colleagues,

In case any of you wanted to submit a comment in the Title IX Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on sexual harassment and ran into difficulties submitting your comment, I wanted to let you know that OCR is re-opening the NPRM for 24 hours this Fridayhttps://s3.amazonaws.com/public-inspection.federalregister.gov/2019-02566.pdf.  This is apparently in response to concerns that on the last day of the comment period, many people had trouble submitting comments and at least some were unable to submit.

FYI: one coalition of civil rights groups is collecting studies that they think the Department hasn’t read, and dropping them off in person on Friday. If you are not in DC, but have studies or other printables you’d like them to bring to the Department on Friday, please let the following contact people know: Ever Hanna () and Phoebe Suva ().

Another way to submit relevant research and scholarship-- defined broadly as research and scholarship on gender issues, on discrimination and/or civil/human rights (even if not civil/human rights issues related to gender), and on the lives and/or circumstances of women, girls, and/or gender minorities-- is to submit a comment online, using the instructions provided on the Want to Contribute to These Efforts as a Researcher and Scholar, but Don't Have a Lot of Time? Submit Your Research as a Comment website: https://sites.google.com/view/faculty-say-hands-off-ix/how-to-submit-your-research-as-a-comment?authuser=0.

Please feel free to send me any questions you may have about this last minute opportunity to submit a comment, and I will endeavor to answer them!  Otherwise, thanks for your attention and apologies for any cross-postings.

Best,

Nancy
