Traveling Postcards Opportunities!
Traveling Postcards is a therapeutic, healing arts workshop that offers survivors of sexual assault and their allies an opportunity to share their voices of resiliency and compassion in a nationwide program.
We have started a Traveling Postcards on Campus Facebook group that is for any students, staff or faculty that have participated in a TP workshop on campus. We really want to continue the conversation around gender-based violence and hope that we can create a similar safe and compassionate space that the workshop itself creates. I would love to invite the students that participated last year to join and if you are still in touch with anyone, please let them know of this opportunity. I am creating albums of pictures from each campus and it is really fun for students to see other student postcards- It is also a wonderful way to continue to share voices of solidarity and compassion for survivors. We are also on Instagram!
Another change is that we are now offering a significant discount on our workshop cost for our ‘returning’ colleges. The new cost per workshop is $500 + travel expenses. As usual, we try and book several colleges in the area to share the transportation costs. We are no longer offering facilitator trainings as we have found that most campuses would rather save the training funds and have us return to campus with art supplies and all! I love facilitating workshops and have had years of experience doing so- it is certainly one of my greatest pleasures to be on campus, offering healing and voice for survivors and their allies. Thank you Claire!
