Dear Campus and Community partners!
Chrysalis Network is so excited about our 5th Annual Solving the Campus Sexual Assault and Dating Violence Puzzle National Conference held in partnership with the NC State University Counseling Center.
Location
While we will again be at NC State University in Raleigh, NC, to accommodate our growing group, this year’s
conference will be held in the beautiful and newly renovated Talley Student Center. For returners, the meeting room and
breakout rooms are significantly larger than our previous space, and parking will also be closer! Not to mention, a free 5-minute bus ride, or 10-minute walk from the hotel.
Submit a Workshop Proposal!
Please consider sharing your wonderful work with us! The workshop proposal application will be available at noon tomorrow. Applications are due by Friday August 31, 2018. While the official title is being finalized, this year's overarching theme will focus on the community's role in creating cultures of bystander, journalism, perpetrator, and system accountability. Check the application tomorrow for the full list of prioritized areas.
Apply to Serve on the Advisory Committee - 8 spots available!
With the exception of your on-site help during the conference, all work is done via email, totaling 10-12 hours from August-December.
General responsibilities include:
- determine conference title and theme
- review, score, and select workshop proposals and poster sessions
- develop agenda
- select speakers
- provide on-site support such as set-up, take down, staff the registration table, or proctor a workshop.
Serving on the committee means:
- Your conference registration fee is waived
- Your campus/organization will be considered a co-sponsor and therefore, with your permission, your logo will be on conference marketing materials and the website.
Poster Sessions!
In honor of our 5th year, we will have many new opportunities. One of which is the addition of a poster session for current or recently graduated students to share their great work with our community. Information coming soon!
In the meantime, get this date on your calendar and please share with others - we can't wait to see you in Raleigh in December!
