I recommend the work of Carlos Andres Gomez, Jackson Katz, Tristan Bridges, among others. Also, an interesting note is that Kareem Abdul Jabaar has a blog and he has written some great pieces on feminism and sexism.

Subject: [WRAC-L] resources on masculinity and outdoor recreation

Dear Colleagues,

A former mentee has recently started working as the executive director of a non-profit organization whose mission is to support the health, education, and professional development of rafting guides. In her new role, she’s hoping to start introducing education for her staff and liaisons around the topic of hegemonic masculinity in outdoor recreation and leisure activities.

Does anyone know of any male-identified bloggers or writers who are addressing this issue? She’s looking for lower-level introductory articles and posts to start conversations around this topic in her organization.

Thanks for any leads you can provide!

Best,

Lysa
