As one of A CALL TO MEN’s former partners, we wanted to share a new free program we have designed exclusively for colleges and universities.  #LIVERESPECT is an on-campus movement for college students who want to promote healthy, respectful manhood and prevent dating violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, bullying and all forms of violence and discrimination.  #LIVERESPECT was born out of the work of A CALL TO MEN, a national violence prevention organization that educates men and boys from the barbershop to the board room. 

 

A CALL TO MEN is empowering students to identify their influence and platform and be a changemaker, helping create a campus culture of respect, equity and value for all.  Students who join the #LIVERESPECT movement commit to: 

·        LISTEN – Listen to women and believe their experiences

·    REFLECT – Reflect on and challenge any harmful messages you have received about gender

·       SPEAK OUT – Talk about healthy, respectful manhood with other men and boys, and speak out against sexism and inequality

·        ACT – Identify the areas of your life where you can influence your peers and culture, and use your platform to create positive social change

 

A CALL TO MEN is offering a free digital toolkit to help students learn how to organize on campus to create a culture of respect, equity and value for all.  The toolkit contains videos, shareable graphics, template posters and handouts.  You can download the toolkit for FREE at www.acalltomen.org/liverespect-on-campus.  A CALL TO MEN is also offering free technical assistance for participating schools.
