In this 90-minute webinar, expert panelists Dr. Mary Koss, Dr. Kaaren Williamsen, and Dr. David Karp, will draw on their varied experiences in the fields of sexual assault, Title IX, and Restorative Justice, to discuss the basics of Restorative Justice, its potential applications for Title IX cases, as well as issues for schools to consider when determining whether to implement restorative processes within the context of Title IX. Webinar attendees are encouraged and will have the opportunity to submit questions. The Network for Victim Recovery of DC is hosting this webinar.

Dr. Mary Koss is a Regents’ Professor in the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health at the University of Arizona. She was the principal investigator of the RESTORE Program, the first restorative justice program for sex crimes among adults that was quantitatively evaluated. 

Dr. Kaaren Williamsen co-chairs the Campus PRISM (Promoting Restorative Initiatives for Sexual Misconduct) Project, a network of researchers and practitioners invested in a restorative justice approach, and is the Director of the Sexual Assault and Awareness Center at the University of Michigan. 

Dr. David Karp is Professor of Sociology and Director of the Project on Restorative Justice at Skidmore College. His scholarship focuses on restorative justice in community and campus settings. He is also Co-Chair of the Campus PRISM Project.

Charlotte Keenan is a Staff Attorney and Pro Bono Coordinator for NVRDC.
