We have not had emotional support animals as a specific Title IX accommodation on our campus. They would be allowed to accompany a complainant to
meetings/interviews in the process if the complainant had a designated animal.
Students on our campus go through the process with Disability Support Services, which requires submitting documentation from a medical or psychological
professional of the need to have the emotional support animal. Once approved, the animal can live with the student in housing and accompany them on campus to classes, meetings, etc.

Subject: Emotional Support Animals as TIX accommodation
Hello wise group,
I am looking for some information regarding what processes are used when a student requests an emotional support animal as an accommodation for a TIX incident. Do you refer the
student through the standard process (typically in the disability services area) for evaluating such requests or do you have a different process with it is TIX related?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Morgan
