Good morning everyone,
As you prepare for Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we hope you'll consider including male survivors of sexual abuse and assault in your programming. Our Bristlecone Project awareness campaign is a powerful and effective tool for educating about the issue and about men’s potential to reclaim healthy, meaningful lives after sexual abuse or assault. Two ideas for SAAM:
1. Host a screening of our 30-minute Bristlecone Project documentary film. The film could be featured as a stand-alone screening; as a starting-point for a community discussion about the issue; or as a teaching aid. Many organizations host a Q&A with a clinician or other service provider who has some knowledge of the issue. Whether or not you decide to do a Q&A, we suggest having a clinician present in case anyone needs support. The film is available for purchase at bristleconeproject.org/film. If you have questions, email .
2. Host a Bristlecone Project photo exhibition. Organizations and campuses around the country have displayed our inspiring portraits and stories of men (below you'll see photos from one of CCWRC's current exhibitions, as well as a current exhibition at the Canterbury Museum in New Zealand). To inquire about how to host an exhibition, email .

In addition, we are available to provide clinical and non-clinical trainings and presentations on the topic around the United States. If you would like to inquire about a training on male sexual trauma for your organization, email .
And as always, our online helpline for men and their loved ones is available 24/7, and we also offer weekly free and anonymous online support groups for men. In anticipation of men disclosing or wanting help anonymously, please feel free to share these services as a supplement to your resources.
Kindly,
Meredith
