Campus Advocacy, Resources and Education (CARE) at the University of California, Santa Cruz is hiring for two full-time positions: CARE Prevention Education Coordinator and CARE Advocate. Qualified applicants are welcome to apply for one or both positions by May 29, 2017.

CARE supports survivors of sexual assault, stalking, and dating/domestic violence, as well as their significant others and allies. CARE also promotes healthy relationships and consent culture on campus through programming, training, workshops, and other outreach to students, staff and faculty. 

CARE Prevention Education Coordinator

  • Starting Salary Range: $4,583 - $5,833 per month for 11 months
  • Salary commensurate with education, skills including spoken languages, and experience
  • This position does not require after hours on-call duties
Under the supervision of the CARE Director, the CARE Prevention Education Coordinator will lead prevention efforts on the UCSC campus addressing interpersonal violence (sexual assault, relationship violence and stalking). These duties include education and awareness training for faculty, staff and students, supervising an undergraduate peer educator program, as well as outreach, program evaluation and collaboration with campus and community partners. This position also provides backup crisis counseling and advocacy for survivors of sexual assault, relationship violence and stalking.

CARE Advocate

  • This position does not require after hours on-call duties

Under the supervision of the CARE Director, the CARE Advocate will provide crisis counseling and advocacy for campus victims/survivors of sexual assault, relationship violence and stalking by working with campus and community partners, including UCSC Police Department, Women's Center, Student Health Services (SHS), Colleges, Housing and Educational Services (CHES), Student Conduct, the Dean of Students Office, Title IX, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), and community agencies. The CARE Advocate will also assist CARE staff with developing and providing targeted outreach and training to the campus community.
