Dear Wendy and others,
I'm very sorry as I'm not on all of these listservs and think I missed the message that discussed reporting, but to at least clarify my message, the statistics I sent out refer to people who do not disclose to anyone. This includes friends, family, therapists, campus officials, police, and others. I would be happy to send out statistics specific to reporting to police and campus officials if that would be more helpful. I believe the 2007 and 2016 campus studies by Krebs have this information.
Take care,
Emily

These may include reporting to confidential sources such as "counselors" on campus, which isn't really "reporting" at all and those types of disclosures are not counted for Clery purposes -Moreover - counting reports that occur in confidence is like counting reports to friends -It's a gross misuse of the word report, which the public understands to mean report to campus or law enforcement officials.Wendy Murphy

I'm doing a presentation and wondered if there are any updated stats since Koss's study in the 80s, addressing how many college survivors tell no one. She came up with 42% - is this still what folks are using? Thanks!
