Sexual Assault Justice Initiative (SAJI)

In partnership with the Crisis Center, Inc. the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office announces open positions for the Sexual Assault Justice Initiative (SAJI) Grant.  This grant will develop a county-wide protocol for law enforcement's response to sexual assault and provide training on the protocol to all law enforcement officers in Jefferson County.  The open positions for the SAJI grant are as follows:

·         Court Advocate

·         Program Coordinator

Employment Information: The Program Coordinator position is an at-will state employee and 100% of the funding for the positions is through the Sexual Assault Justice Initiative Grant.

The Court Advocate position is employed by the Crisis Center and 100% of the funding for the positions is through the Sexual Assault Justice Initiative Grant.

Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI)

To provide survivors of sexual violence the most responsive services, the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office announces the opening of positions for the Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) Grant.  This grant will provide funding for a county-wide inventory of Sexual Assault Kits, and help build a database to facilitate better communication amongst advocates, law enforcement, and prosecutors.  The SAKI grant will also provide funding for a specialized prosecutor for sexual assault cases, and a civil attorney to support survivors of sexual violence.  Lastly this grant will also support the county-wide Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) by providing funding for a SART/SAKI Multidiscipline Team Coordinator.  The positions open are as follows:

·           Court Advocate

·         SART/SAKI Multidiscipline Team Coordinator

·         Civil Attorney

·         Sexual Assault Prosecutor
