Director of Prevention Education (Job #1708) – As a member of the Division of Student Affairs team, this position will report to the Associate Dean of Students and will work in collaboration with a number of key departments (including Campus Safety, Counseling Services, Title IX, Health Services, Residential Services, Student Conduct, Fraternity and Sorority Life, and Athletics) to meet the needs of Muhlenberg students. The successful candidate will demonstrate a blend of knowledge and experience related to public health and working in a college setting. The individual will have a strong understanding of cultural competency and cultural and identity-based differences that must be accounted for in successfully implementing prevention strategies and education across a diverse student body.

Successful skills will include research and assessment, strategic planning and implementation, training curriculum writing, advising and mentoring, strong communication and public speaking, and depth of knowledge with regard to critical health and well-being issues including, but not limited to alcohol and other drug use, gender violence, mental health and bystander intervention work.
