Good morning, I am wondering if anyone knows anything about this program and/or has seen it? It is always helpful for us to hear from others when we’re approached by such groups. If it is better, you can email me directly at with feedback. Thank you, Amy I hope you're well. My name is Jessie Fahay—NYC Educational/Theater-Producer, author, actor, and playwright. Along with social worker and sexual assault prevention specialist,
Aimee Barr, we've developed a keynote that combines Broadway theatre and college sexual assault prevention. We deliver this keynote to colleges and universities to promote healthy sexual development and help reduce incidents of rape and sexual violence on
campus. Who may I speak to in more detail about bringing this keynote/program to your students? This is an easy program to put on—a 60-90 minute, 3 component keynote/program: Part 1) Theatre: A Five-Character Play titled
She Has A Name written by Andrew Kooman performed by actors in my Theatre-Company, Ripple Effect Artists Inc. This play creates the powerful connection with students that gender-based violence (sexual assault) is unacceptable and preventable, Part 2)
An educational session where our expert Aimee Barr (resume attached in Facilitator Guide), discusses signs and symptoms of sexual assault, how to help oneself or a friend if attacked or considering entering the sex-trade, how to live mentally well while in
college, and review resources of help for students. Part 3) A panel discussion/Q&A session to introduce more students to your staff counselors. Attached is an overview of the program and the educational content. I'd welcome the chance to speak with someone in more detail about the program, its effectiveness, and answer any other questions. And I'd be happy to pass along video clips
of the play and the keynote to give a better idea of the program's efficacy. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
