We’re having some issues on campus with our conduct hearing officers not taking stalking as seriously as sexual assault – we generally suspend/expel for sexual assault, but so far we’ve only been sanctioning probation for stalking. One of my clients has appealed the sanction requesting expulsion, and I’d like to provide some contextual information to our general counsel about how dangerous and serious stalking is. I’ve been to the stalking resource center, but if anyone has any stats or short, specific information about re-offending or escalation, especially in a campus context, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
