- Subject: Impact of releasing identity in sexual misconduct cases to the media

Hi Everyone,
I was just informed by our university's chief of police that here in Utah a bill is being put forth that would require institutions of higher ed to release the identities of all individuals involved in campus sexual misconduct cases to the media whether those to be named consent to the release or not. We are looking for research that outlines the impact this could have/has on survivors coming forward to report. Does anyone know of anything that would be useful?
Thanks so much,
