Dear Colleagues,
 
I hope this email finds you well. I'm writing on behalf of my colleagues at The Center on Domestic Violence (which houses my graduate program and with whom I am proud to work closely). They  are funded by the Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women to provide training and technical assistance to their Campus Program grantees on successful development of coordinated community response teams and are now hiring a Program Manager for this work.  The position is 75% time and will be responsible for coordinating  the daily operations of this program. The position is open until filled, but a review of the applications will begin after the full consideration deadline of January 20th

Job Summary:
The Center on Domestic Violence is funded by the Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women to provide training and technical assistance to their Campus Program grantees on successful development of coordinated community response teams. This part-time, University Staff (non-classified) Campus Technical Assistance Manager position, will oversee and carry out the daily operations of this project.  This position is 75% time.


Examples of Work Performed:
  • Enhance the knowledge of OVW Campus Program grantees and their partners regarding effective approaches to the development and maintenance of coordinated community response through an array of training products and services.
  • Assist in the overall development of an effective technical assistance program for OVW Campus Program grantees.
  • Provide face to face training for campus Program grantees and their partners on topics related to Coordinated Community Response (CCR).
  • Develop and present an annual series of webinars on CCR development topics.
  • Serve as a Technical Assistance Point of Contact (POC) for a cohort of Universities and colleges funded by OVW to address domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking on campus.
  • Produce e-learning tools and other training materials; topics may include: engaging diverse communities, building multicultural alliances, and working through competition for funds.
  • Make use of social media to engage and communicate with grantees.
  • Provide face to face, individualized support for grantees with complex, critical needs.
  • Coach, primarily via email, phone or video conference, grantees on issues related to CCR.
  • Coordinate the use of project consultants to ensure geographic and cultural accessibility to program services.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of program services. Collect process and outcome data on all services provided by the program.
  • Compile and analyze program data and information for reporting to funders and the community at large on the progress of the program.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
 
Salary and Benefits:
The hiring salary for this position is $40,000-$52,000 (at 75% time) and is  commensurate with skills and experience.

Qualifications
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. (Substitution for a bachelor's degree: At least four years of work experience in: project management, training, public/community relations and domestic violence that provided the same kind, amount and level of knowledge acquired in the required education).
  • Two years of work experience in interpersonal violence prevention, intervention, treatment and/or response, preferably in a University or college environment.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in the provision of online and in-person training and technical assistance.
  • Experience in successful development of collaborative efforts to address domestic and sexual violence.
  • Experience and familiarity in a University or college environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in education, public service, social work, public health, women's studies, or related field.
  • Experience working with grant funding and/or grant funded projects.
Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • In depth understanding of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking in a social justice, victim centered and trauma informed framework.
  • Demonstrated ability in the provision of online and in person training and technical assistance.
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
  • The ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of individuals.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of using computers in word processing, spreadsheets, databases and social media.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • A commitment to diversity and culturally competent education, outreach and care; Experienced in developing programs in response to diverse needs.
  • A self-starter that can work within a team environment and handle a variety of projects/tasks with urgent deadlines. Detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the development of coordinated community response teams and other collaborative efforts to address domestic and sexual violence.
