Alina,

The way it is done typically is for the investigator(s) to present the evidence the university has found to the hearing panel.  And, just for clarification, the university is always the complainant, technically.

Subject: Title IX Cases - University as complainant

Hello all – I have a question that my colleagues have asked me to get feedback on from other institutions.

In Title IX cases where the complainant is the University (for instance, in bringing cases forward against a student organization), who on your campus represents the University at the hearing? Is it a Public Safety Officer? A designated staff member, etc?

Any thoughts or practices you are willing to share are appreciated!
