Dear Colleagues:

We are interested in learning from institutions which have support/care persons available for complainants AND respondents in Title IX cases. This is separate from an intake coordinator, deputy, or sole survivor advocate. We have the latter in place and are exploring other options to support students throughout the process. If you have individuals serving this role:

1) Who fills these roles? If a part of other types of positions, what are these positions? How were these individuals identified?
2) Is there a separation between who fills which type of supportive role?
3) In your own words, what are the primary purposes this role fills? If possible, a job description would also be helpful.
4) What training is in place for these individuals?
5) What other information would be valuable for institutions considering this role?

Thanks in advance!
Peace,
Connie
